District Doda Taekwondo Association headed by Burhan Ud Din Khan (Secretary DDTA) organised a two days based official District Taekwondo Championship 2021 in Collaboration with Youth Services and Sports department Under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd) at community Hall Doda from 11th to 12th December. The event was designed for the selection of upcoming J&K UT Taekwondo Championship. Around 200 players participated throughout the District including some leading Taekwondo clubs.

On the very first day of the event the opening ceremony was graced by Raj Kumar (SP Operations Doda) as chief guest along with Master Atul Pangotra (International Coach/Referee) as Guest of Honour.
The event went highly amazing as the enthusiasm among the kids and parents were marvellous. The championship was organised in two aspects of Taekwondo i.e. Kyorugi and Poomsae.
On the first day of the championship the Referees hold the event of Poomsae for the athletes and the second day was all about Kyorugi (fighting).
ACD Doda, Idrees Lone graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest along with Mr Sarabjit Singh (International Referee) as Guest of Honour. Shri Idrees Lone sahab presented a cash reward of 5000 rupees to the organising committee.
Many special guests joined the ceremonial stage, among them were Shri Zaheer Khan (Treasurer JKTA), Shri. Vinod Grewal (National Referee), Er. Ab Haq Zargar (AEE), Shri. Danish Manzoor (International Athlete) Shri. Tanvir Ahmed Wani (Principal Hr Sec Trown),Shri Faisal Tanvir (Joint Secretary DDTA), Shri Anzer Ayoob (Chief Editor, Chenab Times), Shri. Rizwan Wani Principal (Iqra International School), Shri Tahir Mushtaq, Shri Muzamil Khan (Chairman Famishd).
The championship was supported by many fruitful Coaches and International Athletes, Shri. Nadeem Zargar (Coach CSA), Ms Anjum Ara (Coach, STA) , Zain Nazir ( International Medalist), Hashim Majeed (International Player).
The championship was observed by Master Atul Pangotra ( International Coach/ Referee).
The overall team trophy was achieved by Shield Taekwondo Academy , while as Chenab Sports Academy remained 2nd. The best active participation went to Iqra International School. Shri Junaid Ali Khan (Vice President, DDTA) presented a vote of thanks to all the esteemed guest’s on behalf of District Doda Taekwondo Association.
