Religious Leader Yati Narsinghanand Arrested For Haridwar Hate Speeches, as per report on NDTV.

Yati Narsinghanand – one of the religious leaders who took part at an event in Haridwar last month that called for the genocide of Muslims – was arrested on Saturday, becoming the second person to be taken in following an intervention by the Supreme Court.

The saffron-robed priest has gone from joking with authorities about how a cop “will be on our side” to cursing them – “all of you will die,” he shouted after the first arrest on Friday.

More than ten people have been named in FIRs filed in connection with speeches calling for genocide and the use of arms against Muslims. Narsinghanand is one of them.

The first arrest in the case happened weeks after the incident, after the Supreme Court ordered the Uttarakhand government to file an affidavit on the case’s actions within 10 days.

Pertinent to mention, Wasim Rizvi alias Jitendra Tyagi was detained by Uttarakhand Police in Haridwar on Thursday over making objectionable and inflammatory statements against Islam during the ‘Dharam Sansad’ or religious assembly held in Haridwar. Yati Narsinghanand was also nabbed by the cops. But now the news of his arrest is coming up.
