Famous television actor and model Aly Goni slams administration for electricity outage in Jammu and tweeted, “There is no electricity in my smart city jammu it feels like I m back in 90s.. now don’t tell me it’s because of covid.”
Hailing from Bhaderwah, actor Aly Goni is known for portraying Raj Kapoor in Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan and Romi Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. He has participated in reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla 5, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, Box Cricket League, Nach Baliye 9 and Bigg Boss 14.
It is pertinent to mention that the Chenab region in Jammu and Kashmir, which includes Goni’s native town of Bhaderwah, faces electricity blackouts across the year, especially during winters. The Chenab region possesses more than 6 hydroelectric power projects and has the potential to generate 20,000 MW of electricity, but its own residents suffer massive power outages across the year as there is no direct power supply to any of the Chenab trio districts from these hydroelectric power projects.
