JAMMU: Adv Mohd Majid Malik, who is leading the campaign to form a district in Bhaderwah, met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan here today and discussed a number of problems of public concern, as well as presenting a thorough charter of demands.
Adv Mohd Majid Malik had a detailed interaction with the Lt Governor, wherein he projected several demands and issues which included that Bhaderwah should be declared as District keeping in view the historical importance and qualification of the area , Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University should be declared full fledged University , official opening of Bhaderwah Chamba Bani Jai Gandoh roads , construction of Chattargalla tunnel for creation of employment opportunities , establishment of high court additional bench in Bhaderwah as land is available at Amira Nagar , Upgradation of Municipal Committee Bhaderwah to Council and extension of limits , Installation of transmission line from Doda to Bhaderwah along with grid station in Bhaderwah due to snow bound area , construction of KV school building in Bhaderwah along with army goodwill school in Kellar , degree College in Bhalla , Ph.d courses in GDC Bhaderwah, adding of Bhaderwah in film tourism destinations , construction of mini secretariat in Bhaderwah , construction of Jai Khara and Jai Chiralla road , Mechanical division along with more snow cutters in Bhaderwah , additional bench of Labour court in Bhaderwah along with consumer forum court , renovation and light and sound system at Bhaderwah fort and declaration of more tourism villages in Bhaderwah, Khellani Top , Kellar , Chinta Bhlara , Athkar , Bhalla and Chiralla.
Adv Mohd Majid Malik request Lt Governor to consider the proposal / demand of distt Bhaderwah in a positive manner as there are no finicial challanges in it as distt for Bhaderwah is our birth right ansd legal demand and Bhaderwah has all qualifications to become a district headquarter . He also informed Lt Govrernor Monaj Sinha that over the past years 70 years , new districts were created on one tehsil and none tool any initiatives to accord district status to Bhaderwah.
Adv Majid Malik also informed that Bhaderwah had produced 35% bureaucracy there is potential of only education and tourism sector and demanded Bhaderwah campus be made a full-fledged University of the Chenab Valley and that all degree colleges along with GMC Doda should be affiliated with it as first college of Jammu and Kashmir was opened in Bhaderwah in year 1954 . Adv Majid Malik also demanded employment for locals of Bhaderwah and Doda in the Khellani tunnel and other NHIDCL projects along with road connectivity of Chiralla With Bhaderwah via Groundra and Himote , one Bank Branch in Chiralla tehsil Poneja and health facilities, in Chiralla and Bhella and regularisatoion of all CL workers / daily wagers of Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and Bhaderwah Development Authority , opening of Nursing college in old hospital complex , colored Ultrasound machine in Bhaderwah hospital along with filling of all vacant posts and blood bank . He also invited Lt Governor Monaj Sinha to Bhaderwah for visit which LG accepted .
Khursheed Ahmed Qureshi was also present on the occasion. Lt Governor observed that the UT Government is formulating development plans and policies reflective of needs & aspirations of the people of J&K and assured him of due consideration of the genuine issues projected during the interaction related to Bhaderwah . The Lt Governor urged Malik to continue his endeavors for promoting public welfare on all fronts.
Meanwhile Adv Majid Malik had cancel his Janatar Manter Dharna for the demand of distt Bhaderwah and other issues after assurance from UT Govt and before meeting LG he met three Union Minister and two advisors of LG along and submitted memorandum related to various issues of Bhaderwah .
