According to SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, a Police Party from Police Station Thathri led by Insp. Amrit Katoch SHO Police Station Thathri laid a special Naka at Haneja Thathri today as part of operation “SANJEEVANI.” 750 gms of Narcotics substance (Charas) was seized from his possession during normal checking/frisking at the Naka point.
As per information available with The Chenab Times that the accused revealed his name as Ayaz Ahmed S/O Abdul Qayoom R/O Bhalwana Tehsil Mahalla District Doda after being questioned.
Case FIR No. 23/2022, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been filed in this regard at P/S Thathri, and the case is currently being investigated.
The accused person’s forward/backward links are being investigated, and the investigation so far has revealed that he is a major drug peddler who supplied drugs in the Thathri area.
Under the supervision of Meer Gafoor JKPS SDPO Bhaderwah and Sh. Raj Kumar Incharge Addl.SP Bhaderwah, the Narcotic Substance (Cannabis) was recovered and the accused was arrested.
