A drug peddler who has been found involved in illegal activities, especially narcotic smuggling and addiction, has been arrested by Doda police and has been taken into preventive custody on the orders of Executive Magistrate Doda.
In a statement issued to The Chenab Times, the person identified as Amir Ahmed, son of Noor Din Malik, resident of Pattan, Baramulla, at present Akrmabad Doda, has been taken into preventive custody by police on the orders of Executive Magistrate Doda.
A detailed report of his involvement in illegal activities was prepared by Doda Police and submitted before the Executive Magistrate Doda, who issued a detention order under preventive sections of the law. “The accused person was sent to judicial custody in District Jail Bhaderwah,” the statement reads.
