DLSA Bhaderwah organised awareness programme on Right to Information Act

A one-day awareness programme on the “Right to Information Act 2005” was held here at Degree College Bhaderwah in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority.The programme started with a welcome address by Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, principal of GDC Bhaderwah. Dr. Sandeep Kotwal, Convener, Debate and Seminar Committee, holds the proceedings of the programme. Dr. Sandeep Kotwal shared his views about the benefits of the Right to Information Act 2005, especially for students.

Advocate Majid Malik and Miss Isha Hiteshi were the resource persons from District Legal Services Authority Bhadarwah. Advocate Majid Malik gave detailed information about the constitution of India and the importance of the Right to Information Act 2005.

Miss Isha Hiteshi held an interactive session with the students and made the students aware of Fundamental Rights and the Right to Information Act, 2005. Mr. Abrar Sheikh, Miss Rohini, Miss Asha, Mr. Umesh, and Mr. Ankush Yogi were also present in the programme from the District Legal Services Authority. The programme was also attended by Prof. Khursheed Naqshi, Deptt. Of English, Prof. Neen Kumar Manhas, HoD Physics, Prof. Sanjay Kumar, HoD Pol. Sc., Prof. Bunty Kumar, Dr. Nazar Ul Islam, HoD Islamic Studies, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Staff Secretary, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, and Miss Seema Bano. Prof. Mohd Qasim Mir, HoD Geography, presented the formal vote of thanks. The programme was attended by more than 200 students.
