Sub-divisional magistrate Kangan was on Tuesday attached to the deputy commissioner Ganderbal’s office for dereliction of his duties.
According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), deputy commissioner Ganderbal had sought an explanation from SDM Kangan, Mohammad Muneer Ahmad regarding dereliction in duties.
The order reads that the reply submitted by him was perused and found un-satisfactory.
“Therefore, in view of the above and in the interest of administration, he is attached with this office with immediate effect till further orders,” it added.
It further reads that Deputy District Election Officer, Aabid Iqbal Malik is given additional charge of SDM Kangan till further orders.
