Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress party during his response to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address in the Rajya Sabha, while opposition members were shouting slogans. He accused the Congress of obstructing progress and claimed that India fell behind while other smaller nations moved forward. According to Modi, the Congress-led government at the center misused Article 356 of the Constitution to dismiss 90 state governments.
Prime Minister Modi expressed high regards for the current administration, stating that their policies are geared towards providing long-lasting solutions to the challenges faced by the general population. He emphasized that the government has made significant progress in providing access to clean drinking water, with 11 crore households now having access compared to just 3 crore before 2014.
During his address in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Modi criticized Congress for their lack of effort in finding lasting solutions to the country’s issues, calling it mere “tokenism.” Despite this, opposition members continued to disrupt the speech, calling for a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into allegations against the Adani Group. Amid the PM’s speech, members of the opposition shouted slogans such as “Modi and Adani Bhai Bhai!”
Prime Minister Modi criticized the Congress party for neglecting the needs of tribals and ignoring the voices of small and marginal farmers. He stated that if the Congress had acted with good intentions towards the tribal communities, he wouldn’t have to work so hard in the third decade of the 21st century.
Modi emphasized his government’s commitment to fully implement all schemes and put an end to all forms of favoritism.
