Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP, Shiv Pratap Shukla, has been appointed as the new Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Shukla expressed his gratitude to President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for entrusting him with this important responsibility.
In a statement to ANI, Shukla said, “I am deeply honored by this appointment and I would like to thank the President, Prime Minister, and the Union Home Minister for their faith in me. I assure them that I will do my best to serve the people of Himachal Pradesh with dedication and commitment.”
Shukla, who is a resident of Rudrapur in the Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, has had a long and illustrious political career. He has been a four-time MLA, a three-time Union Minister, and a member of the Rajya Sabha. He started his political journey with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and has faced many ups and downs during his journey.
Shukla’s appointment as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh has been welcomed by his supporters and well-wishers. They gathered at his residence to express their gratitude and welcomed him with flowers, garlands, and sweets.
The Governor-designate said, “I am truly overwhelmed by the love and support I have received from my supporters. I am grateful to them and I assure them that I will always be there for them. I will work tirelessly to fulfill their aspirations and contribute to the development of Himachal Pradesh.”
Shukla will be the 29th Governor of Himachal Pradesh and will take office soon. The people of the state are looking forward to his tenure with great hope and anticipation.
