Doda Police have continued their efforts to crack down on drug peddlers, with another arrest made in Bhaderwah. Aslam Khan, son of Gulam Nabi Khan and resident of Sunarthawa, Chiralla Thathri, was apprehended during a routine checking and frisking by a police party from the Police Post Bhalra.
During a personal search of the suspect, the police found a significant amount of narcotic substances in his possession, according to police statement reached The Chenab Times. As a result, the Police Station Bhaderwah has registered case FIR No. 26/2023 under the relevant provisions of law, and an investigation has been launched.
The Doda Police are continuing their operation “SANJEEVANI” aimed at tightening the noose around drug peddlers in the region. They have warned drug traffickers to desist from their illegal activities, or else face stern action, including detention under PSA and the attachment of their properties.
This latest arrest is a significant achievement in the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking, which has plagued the region for an extended period. The police are encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activity related to drug trafficking to the authorities to help them combat this issue effectively.
