Jammu is all set to host its first-ever cat show on 12th March 2023 (Sunday) as a part of VetFest 2023. The show is named “The Cat Walk” and is being organized at the Faculty of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, SKAUST Jammu in its R.S. Pura campus. This is a great opportunity for all cat lovers in Jammu to showcase their feline companions and compete with other participants.
The registration for the show has already started, and the registration fee is only Rs 300/-. Participants can register their cats online. The event is open to all cat breeds, and the judging will be done based on various criteria. All participants will receive a participation certificate, which will be a great souvenir to remember the event.
According to Prof. M.S Bhadwal, Dean. F.V.Sc & A.H , R.S Pura, the event is being organized as a part of VetFest 2023, which is a veterinary festival aimed at promoting awareness about animal health and welfare. The festival will also include various other events like literary, sports, fine arts, cultural etc. The cat show is one of the highlights of the festival and is expected to draw a large crowd of cat lovers.
