The District Police in Doda has organized a Cosco Ball cricket tournament at the Sports Ground Degree College in Bhaderwah. The tournament was inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police Doda Abdul Qayoom on March 14th. The tournament is being organized under the Civic Action program to honor the Police Martyrs who lost their lives while serving the nation.

The tournament is open, and sixteen teams, including some of the renowned cricket clubs of Bhaderwah, have registered for the event. The tournament started with an inaugural match between teams of Police Bhaderwah and MC Bhaderwah.

The tournament is expected to continue for five days, and the final match shall be played between the two most successful teams. The winning and runner-up teams will be awarded trophies and cash prizes, and players will also be rewarded for their individual performances.

After inaugurating the tournament, SSP Doda, in his brief address, stated that the primary objective of organizing such events is to promote physical fitness among the youth and keep them away from drug abuse. He also appealed to the youth to focus on studies and participate in games and refrain from indulging in anti-social activities.

Many officials from the Police and Civil Administration, including President MC Bhaderwah Shahid Rehman, ADC Bhaderwah Ch. Dilmir, ASP Bhadarwah Kameshwar Puri, Secretary DLSA Mudassir Farooq, SDPO Bhaderwah Waseem Hamdani, Officers of 4RR, EO MCB, and BMO, attended the inaugural program.
