On Friday, thousands of people gathered in central Kashmir to observe ‘Youm-e-Quds,’ a day of solidarity with the Palestinian people. The rallies were organized by various organizations, including Anjuman-e-Shari Shian, Tanzeem-ul-Makatib, and Jammu Kashmir Shia Association.
After Friday congregational prayers, people took to the streets carrying banners and placards in support of Palestine. Both Shias and Sunnis were seen at the rally, and a significant number of women also participated.
The largest rally was held in Magam town, where thousands of female protesters came together to express their support for the Palestinian cause. Many of the participants carried portraits of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei.
During the protest, speakers called on Muslim nations to unite and take action towards the liberation of Palestine. They also emphasized that Quds Day was not just about Palestine but was a day for every oppressed person around the world.
“Quds Day symbolizes the valor, resistance, revolution and voice of the oppressed nations of the world,” said one of the protesters.
The banners and placards carried by the participants expressed support for the Palestinian people and denounced Israel and the United States. The protesters called for more hands to help Palestine and prayed for the children of Gaza.
In central Kashmir, the rallies on Youm-e-Quds were a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people and a call to action for Muslim nations to take a stand against oppression and injustice.
