At a party function held in Jammu, Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad praised the secular values of Jammu and its tradition of embracing people from various regions and religions, offering them equal opportunities. According to a press note released after the event, Azad stated that Jammu’s secularism is its true strength, which he saluted the people for maintaining.
Azad emphasized that the DPAP is the only political party that has a political roadmap for the entire Union Territory for all-round development. If elected to power, the party will build Jammu as a city of immense opportunities. Azad cited his previous stint as Chief Minister when he built hospitals of AIMS standard, international standard colleges and universities. He criticized the present dispensation for robbing the city of its potential and making it look completely dependent.
Azad expressed regret over the cancellation of the Darbar move, which he said was fetching substantial economic opportunities for the people of Jammu. He added that he was never in favor of canceling the Darbar move and that the decision was immature and wrong.
The DPAP Chairman reassured the people of Jammu that his party would resolve all their grievances if elected to power after the elections. Azad promised to speed up development and build more colleges, hospitals, and an international standard road network. He stated that Jammu was a city with rich social and economic values that required a vision to run and develop, and he assured the people that he had that vision and would develop the city on international standards.
