Woman dies after being hit by bike in Kulgam village

In a heartbreaking incident, a woman lost her life after being struck by a motorcyclist in the Redwani Payeen area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir. The unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

According to an official report from Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the accident transpired near Redwani Payeen in the Qaimoh vicinity. The victim, identified as Hajera Banoo, a 45-year-old resident of Danav Bogund and wife of Khurshid Ahmad Khanday, was struck by an unknown motorcyclist. The collision resulted in severe injuries to Hajera, necessitating immediate medical attention.

Emergency services were promptly alerted, and Hajera was swiftly transferred to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Qaimoh for urgent medical care. However, despite the best efforts of the medical personnel, she was tragically pronounced dead upon arrival at the healthcare facility.

Law enforcement authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, registering a case to initiate a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. The local police will delve into the details and seek to identify the motorcyclist responsible for the collision, shedding light on the factors that led to this unfortunate loss of life.
