In a tragic incident, one person lost their life while 24 others sustained injuries when a bus they were traveling in overturned in the Moori area of Katra on Sunday. The bus was en route from Katra to Jammu when the accident occurred.
According to an official statement, the bus unexpectedly overturned near Moori, resulting in the unfortunate loss of a passenger’s life. The injured passengers, numbering 24, were immediately provided with medical assistance and swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Out of the 24 injured individuals, four of them have been referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu to receive advanced medical care. The remaining passengers are currently being treated at local medical facilities in Katra.
Authorities and emergency services were prompt in their response, ensuring that the injured received timely medical attention. The local police are conducting an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that the bus may have encountered unforeseen circumstances, leading to its overturning.
