In a shocking turn of events, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded today evening when a young girl, identified as Shaida Banoo, aged approximately 10 or 11 years, and a 7 or 8-year-old boy named Shakeel Ahmed, both residents of Jagota Chakrayi in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, went missing from their home. According to reliable sources from The Chenab Times, the children were reported missing at around 7:00 p.m., prompting their concerned relatives to initiate a search.
Distressingly, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the relatives discovered the whereabouts of the missing children near their residence. However, the situation took a devastating turn as they found Shaida Banoo lifeless and Shakeel Ahmed in a severely injured state. Upon closer examination, noticeable injury marks were observed on their bodies, leaving the locals in shock and disbelief.
Acting promptly, the local authorities were notified, and the Police Post in Jagota quickly dispatched officers to the scene. The injured child, Shakeel Ahmed, was immediately provided with necessary medical assistance and subsequently transferred to CHC Thathri for further treatment. Medical professionals are currently working diligently to stabilize his condition.
As news of the incident spreads throughout the locals, an air of sorrow and mourning has enveloped across Thathri sub division. The exact circumstances surrounding this tragic event remain unclear. While rumours are doing the rounds that these children might be attacked by bears or leopards.
