In a heart-wrenching incident, a father and his young son lost their lives after being caught in a sudden flash flood while crossing the Kunju stream. The victims, identified as Paras Ram (45) and his son Sangam (13), were on their way to a wedding function when the unfortunate incident occurred. Heavy rainfall in the catchment area had caused a swift and forceful current, which swept them away on Tuesday evening.
According to officials, the calamity took place as the duo attempted to traverse the stream on foot. Sensing the danger, an alert auto driver passing by promptly raised an alarm. Upon receiving the distress call, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the local police promptly initiated a rescue operation to locate and save the victims.
Tragically, despite relentless efforts, only the body of Paras Ram was recovered from the stream this morning. The search for his young son’s body was still ongoing at the time of the latest reports, as rescue teams tirelessly scoured the area in the hopes of bringing closure to the grieving family.
