In light of the ongoing heavy rainfall and inclement weather conditions in District Doda, the District Commissioner (DC) has taken the crucial decision to close all Government and Private schools on 19th July 2023, as per communique received by The Chenab Times. This step has been undertaken to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.
The official announcement, made by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Doda, came as a precautionary measure to avoid any potential risks and dangers posed by the severe weather conditions in the region. With the safety of students as the top priority, the decision was made well in advance to allow parents and guardians enough time to make necessary arrangements.
The heavy rainfall and adverse weather have been causing disruptions in various parts of the district, leading to concerns over the safety of students commuting to schools. By suspending school operations for the day, the authorities aim to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure that students do not venture out during the unfavorable weather.
The closure of all Government and Private schools on 19th July 2023 applies to all students in the district. It is essential for parents and guardians to take note of this announcement and ensure that their wards stay indoors and remain safe throughout the day.
Parents, teachers, and students are requested to stay updated with the latest information from local authorities regarding any further developments related to school operations in the coming days, especially if the weather conditions persist.
The District Administration is actively monitoring the weather situation and will take appropriate steps to ensure the resumption of regular school activities as soon as it is deemed safe for the students and staff.
