In a significant administrative development, the Jammu and Kashmir government issued order no. 97-JK (Rev) of 2023, announcing the posting of 32 Junior JKAS Officers in various districts across the region. Among these appointments, four officers have been assigned to key positions in the Chenab Valley’s Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts.
The newly appointed Tehsildars are set to take charge of their respective districts, bringing fresh perspectives and renewed vigour to the Revenue Department’s functioning.
- Afsha Afreen – Tehsildar Doda:
Afsha Afreen, who was eagerly awaiting her orders of posting in the Revenue Department, has been appointed as the new Tehsildar of the Doda district, as per the orders – a copy of which is available with The Chenab Times. She takes over from Shabir Ahmed Malik, who will now await further orders of adjustment within the Revenue Department. - Umar Jahanzeb – Tehsildar Bhaderwah:
Umar Jahanzeb, another officer awaiting orders of Posting in the Revenue Department, has been assigned the position of Tehsildar in Bhaderwah. He fills the vacant post, and his expertise is anticipated to make a positive impact on the region’s revenue administration. - Tejinder Sharma – Tehsildar Bunjwah:
Tejinder Sharma, an officer who was also eagerly awaiting orders of Posting in the Revenue Department, has been designated as the Tehsildar of Bunjwah in the Kishtwar district. The appointment is a much-awaited development, and the locals look forward to Mr Sharma’s leadership to effectively address revenue-related matters. - Harveer Singh – Tehsildar HQA Ramban:
Harveer Singh, the last of the four appointed officers, who was also waiting for orders of Posting in the Revenue Department, has been posted as the Tehsildar of HQA Ramban.
The reshuffle in the Revenue Department is a strategic move by the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure efficient governance and responsive administration in the respective districts. The newly appointed Tehsildars, along with other officers announced in the order, bring a blend of experience and fresh ideas, which is expected to foster inclusive development and streamline revenue operations.
