No Government Jobs in Chhattisgarh for Those Accused of Rape and Crimes Against Women, Declares Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Independence Day

In a firm stance against gender-based violence, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh announced on the occasion of the nation’s 77th Independence Day that individuals accused of rape, molestation, and other crimes against women and girls will be ineligible for government jobs within the state. The announcement was made during the tricolor hoisting ceremony at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur, where the Chief Minister also extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the citizens of Chhattisgarh.

Addressing a gathered audience, Chief Minister Baghel reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the safety and security of women. “Ensuring the safety of our women is a top priority for our administration,” he emphasized. This new measure, barring those accused of heinous crimes against women from obtaining government employment, is set to reinforce the state’s dedication to curbing violence against women and promoting gender equality.
Among the several announcements made by the Chief Minister, one noteworthy initiative is the provision of free online coaching for students in Class 11 and 12 enrolled in government schools situated in remote areas of Chhattisgarh. This coaching, provided by renowned institutes across the country, aims to prepare students for competitive exams in the medical and engineering fields.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Baghel also underlined the importance of integrating cutting-edge subjects into the educational curriculum. He disclosed plans to incorporate topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things into the school syllabus. This forward-thinking approach seeks to equip Chhattisgarh’s students with essential skills for the digital age.

In an effort to support higher education, the Chief Minister unveiled a beneficial provision for government college students. They will now have access to free bus pickup and drop facilities, thereby easing their daily commutes and enhancing their overall college experience.

The Independence Day celebrations also witnessed spirited participation from the younger generation. Schoolchildren in the conflict-affected region of Madanwada demonstrated their patriotic fervor by joining an Indo-Tibetan Border Police-led ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in the Mohla Manpur area. The students, accompanied by teachers and ITBP personnel, paraded through the Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, showcasing their dedication to the nation’s ideals.
