In a significant development in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, the local police have apprehended a suspected militant affiliated with The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The detained individual has been identified as Mohd Yawar Rangrez, son of Abdul Rashid Rangeez, and a resident of Firdousabad, Batmaloo. According to a statement released by Srinagar Police on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Mohd Yawar Rangrez was taken into custody with one hand grenade in his possession. The incident has been documented under FIR number 37/2023, registered at Kothibagh Police Station.
