Bhaderwah: In a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat militancy and maintain peace in the region, security forces have successfully busted a militants’ hideout in the upper reaches of Bhaderwah, District Doda. Acting on specific information, the joint operation was launched by the Doda Police and the Indian Army’s 04 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).
According to a statement issued to The Chenab Times, Police said, “Acting on specific information about a terrorists’ hideout, a joint search operation was launched by Doda Police and Army (04 RR) in the upper reaches (forest area) of Seoz Dhar Bhaderwah.”
The search operation yielded significant results, as the security forces discovered a cache of arms and ammunition hidden within the forest area. The statement reads, “The searching party recovered 03 Chinese Pistols, 09 Pistol Magazines, and 79 rounds of Pistol from the hideout.”
In response to this operation, a case has been registered under FIR No. 123/2023, with relevant sections, at the Police Station Bhaderwah, and the investigation into the case has commenced.
