In a significant breakthrough, Doda Police successfully apprehended a long-time fugitive who had been evading arrest for the past decade. The arrested individual, identified as Mubarak Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hassan and resident of Bongund Kulgam, was wanted in connection to case FIR No. 186/2013 under sections 468, 471, and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. The case was registered on December 5, 2013, at Police Station Gandoh.
Officials in a statement to The Chenab Times said that the suspect had managed to elude authorities for an extended period, prompting Doda Police to intensify efforts to track him down. The meticulous operation involved a dedicated team from Sub-Division Gandoh, which launched a massive hunt and cultivated various sources to gather information about the absconder.
The breakthrough in the case came when the police received specific intelligence about Mubarak Ahmed’s whereabouts. Acting swiftly on this information, the police team successfully arrested the fugitive in Kulgam. Following the arrest, Mubarak Ahmed was promptly produced before the Judicial Magistrate of Gandoh.
