In a commendable display of swift action, District Police Doda has successfully cracked a theft case, leading to the apprehension of three individuals and the recovery of stolen property. The case, registered at Police Station Doda under FIR No. 03/2024, pertains to the theft of tires from the workshop of Mr. Mohd Irfan, a resident of Akramabad Doda.
The incident came to light on January 2, 2024, when Mr. Irfan filed a complaint regarding the theft at Police Station Doda. The police promptly initiated an investigation, extracting crucial evidence from CCTV footage. The footage revealed the involvement of a specific load carrier with registration number JK19A-2170 in transporting the stolen tires from the workshop.
Further inquiry led the police to the owner of the load carrier, who disclosed that the vehicle had been entrusted to a driver, Shaid Ullah, residing in Champa Batote. Subsequently, Shaid Ullah and his associates, Sahil Hussain and Tariq Hussain, were apprehended in Batote.
Upon intensive questioning, the trio admitted to the theft and divulged that they had sold the stolen tires to an individual named Sanjeev Kumar in Channi Jammu. Acting on this information, the police swiftly recovered the stolen property from Channi Jammu.
The arrested individuals are now facing legal proceedings, and the investigation into the case continues.
