The District Police of Doda in Jammu and Kashmir have successfully tracked down and arrested two individuals suspected of stealing batteries from the OPD Block of the Government Medical College (GMC) Doda.
According to a police statement issued to The Chenab Times, the police reported that on January 15, 2024, Kamran Ahmed, a sweeper working at the OPD Block, discovered a breached wall the previous night and reported finding four missing batteries. In response to the complaint, the police promptly registered an FIR under relevant sections and assigned the investigation to PSI Aman Sharma of the Police Post DH Doda.
Leveraging CCTV footage, officers swiftly identified the alleged culprits as Mubarak Ali of Sadiq Abad Doda and Ashiq Hussain of Pranoo Bhaderwah. Both individuals were subsequently apprehended, and the stolen batteries were recovered from their possession. The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
