A house in Matta Kishtwar was completely destroyed by a fire earlier today. The residence, owned by Rangil Singh Bhutyal, son of Hukum Chand Bhutyal, suffered extensive damage before emergency services brought the blaze under control.
The incident prompted a swift response from multiple agencies. Officers from the Kishtwar Police Station (SHO Kishtwar), the Tehsildar, and personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services were on site to manage the situation. Support also came from the Red Cross Team, the 26 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Unit, the 52 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Battalion, and local youth volunteers, all of whom contributed to the emergency efforts.
As of the latest update, the fire has been contained, preventing further spread to nearby structures. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no reported injuries in the incident. The community’s quick response and the coordinated effort of the emergency services were instrumental in ensuring the safety of the residents and minimizing additional damage.
