Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting on Saturday, bringing together senior civil and police officials, including Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Jammu Division. The meeting focused on reviewing the security situation and the progress of development projects in the region.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, Principal Secretary (Home) Chandraker Bharti, Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs) Vijay Kumar (Law & Order), Anand Jain (Jammu), and Nitish Kumar (CID). Other senior officials included Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor Mandeep Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner of Jammu Ramesh Kumar, and DIGs, along with DCs and SSPs from across Jammu Division.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized the need for a coordinated approach across government departments to ensure the eradication of terrorism and its support networks. He directed officers to intensify efforts to dismantle the ecosystem aiding terrorism and assured strict action against those involved in harboring or supporting such activities.
“Exemplary action must be taken against those aiding and abetting the terror ecosystem. Wiping out terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir will not only bolster security and peace but also pave the way for the region’s development and a brighter future,” said LG Sinha.
The Lieutenant Governor also reiterated the administration’s commitment to a “whole of government approach” to ensure effective governance, emphasizing the importance of synergy among different agencies. He urged the officials to prioritize both security measures and the timely completion of development projects to improve the lives of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.
