KISHTWAR, Nov 18 – Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abdul Qayoom on Monday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people and his colleagues in the Chenab Valley as he announced his departure from the region after more than 12 years of service.
In a statement shared on social media, Qayoom reflected on his tenure across the districts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban, where he held various key positions including SDPO Bhaderwah/Banihal, Additional SP Kishtwar/Bhaderwah, and SSP Doda and Kishtwar.
“I am deeply thankful to the wonderful people of the Chanab Valley for their tremendous support and cooperation during my postings,” Qayoom wrote. “I will always cherish these times and am truly grateful for the people of these three districts.”
Acknowledging the contributions of his team, Qayoom praised the officers and officials he worked alongside for their unwavering support. “Together, we tried our best to achieve our targets and deliver on our responsibilities,” he said.
As he transitions to his next assignment, Qayoom extended his best wishes to the people of the Chenab Valley, underscoring his enduring connection to the region.
