SRINAGAR, Nov 20 – Adil Ahmad Khan, an 18-year-old student from Nagri, Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, reportedly succumbed to a tumor on Monday evening while undergoing treatment, sources said.
Khan, the son of Mohammad Sultan Khan, was pursuing a degree in pharmacy. Known for his exceptional recitation of the Quran, Khan had memorized the holy book, earning him the title of Hafiz, according to The Chenab Times sources. His untimely demise has sent shockwaves across Kashmir, where contributions to religious studies and his bright academic future were highly regarded.
Social media platforms were flooded with tributes as Kashmiris mourned the loss of the young scholar. Many users praised his devotion to Islam and his pursuit of education, calling his death a significant loss for the community.
“We are deeply saddened by his passing. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat and give strength to his family during this tragic time,” one user wrote.
