Doda, Jammu and Kashmir – The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) under the POSHAN Project Doda has announced recruitment for the posts of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers). The recruitment drive is outlined in Advertisement Notice No. 05 of 2024, dated December 6, 2024.
Vacancies Overview
A total of multiple positions are available across various panchayats in Doda district. Eligible female candidates are encouraged to apply for these positions.
Eligibility Criteria
For Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers):
- Age: 18-37 years (as of January 1, 2024).
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 10+2 and maximum graduation.
- Residency: Candidate must reside in the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre (AWC) is located.
For Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers):
- Age: 18-37 years (as of January 1, 2024).
- Educational Qualification: Minimum matriculation; candidates with qualifications not less than 8th standard may be considered if matriculates are unavailable.
- Residency: Candidate must belong to the electoral ward of the AWC.

The recruitment covers the following panchayats and wards:
- Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers): Thalsara (Shangroo), Bhasti (Shangroo), Pranoo (Pranoo), Machrota (Shiva), Bikhryan (Kalihand).
- Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers): Begota (Rewara), Manyana (Bhaboor), Bellana (Jodhpur A), Lower Kashore (Jodhpur B), Shuryan A (Birshalla), Bun Doda B (Razdan Mohalla), Pul Doda B (Pul Doda), Sharerna A (Sharerna).
Selection Process
- Selection will be based purely on merit determined by marks in qualifying exams.
- Preference will be given to married candidates for Sahayikas. In exceptional cases, destitute women or widows may also be prioritized.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit self-attested copies of the following:
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets.
- Date of birth certificate.
- Domicile certificate.
- Proof of residence (voter list from the panchayat/ward).
- Unmarried certificate (if applicable).
- Affidavit declaring no qualifications beyond the prescribed limits.
How to Apply
Candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-B) within 14 days from the publication date of this notice (i.e 21 December 2024). Applications can be sent by registered post or delivered in person to the CDPO office, POSHAN Project Doda.

- Overqualified candidates will not be considered.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
