DODA, Feb 9 – A flag of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party led by former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, was found entangled with a cluster of balloons on a walnut tree in Grekhra village of Gandoh, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, on Saturday evening, officials said.
Images and videos from the scene show the PTI flag suspended among the tree branches, caught with colorful balloons, as per visuals available with The Chenab Times. The incident has raised concerns, prompting local authorities to initiate an investigation into its origin and significance.
A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that security agencies are verifying all aspects of the case. “We are assessing whether this was an intentional act, cross-border mischief, or merely an airborne object carried by the wind,” the official said.
Instances of Pakistani political symbols appearing in Jammu and Kashmir have been reported in the past, often leading to security alerts. Authorities remain vigilant to prevent any potential unrest or misinterpretation of the event.
Further details will be shared following the investigation, officials added.
