Doda, May 6 (The Chenab Times) –
Two persons lost their lives on Tuesday when a Tata Sumo vehicle plunged approximately 500 feet off the road near Bamu in the Bhalessa region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK06A-5339, was en route from Kahara to Malikpora when the accident occurred. Local sources told The Chenab Times that the deceased have been identified as Adil, son of Mohammed Mosa, a resident of Bamu, and Bilal Ahmed, son of late Ghulam Mohammed, a resident of Malikpura.
Both bodies were retrieved and shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Gandoh.
Bamu is a remote area located in the Chenab Valley’s Bhalessa region, which often sees treacherous road conditions.
Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
