Three Killed in JCB Accident in Kishtwar’s Dachhan Area

Kishtwar, July 22: In a tragic incident, three individuals lost their lives when a JCB vehicle met with an accident in the remote Dachhan area of Kishtwar district on Tuesday.

Official sources told The Chenab Times that the vehicle was navigating a hilly stretch when it reportedly lost control under yet-to-be-ascertained circumstances, leading to a fatal plunge. All three occupants died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Nazir Hussain, son of Mohd Saiye, aged approximately 22–23 years; Mohd Ishaq, son of Feroz Din, aged around 26 years; and Majeed, son of Shuker Din, aged about 28 years. All were residents of Bhalessa, with Nazir and Ishaq hailing from Khatasoo and Majeed from Tandla.

The bodies were recovered and subsequently shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar, where medico-legal formalities are being carried out.

Local authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, and an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap.
