Bandipora, August 7 — The District Youth Services and Sports Office Bandipora organized a two-day district-level Taekwondo competition for boys and girls under the age groups of 14, 17, and 19 years. The event was held at Government Middle School Karnayi Mohalla Shahgund from August 4 to 5.
A total of 16 students from Higher Secondary School Shahgund participated in the competition. Out of these, 14 students secured first place in their respective categories and will go on to represent Bandipora district at the divisional-level Taekwondo championship scheduled to be held in District Budgam.
The event was conducted under the observation of Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Physical Education Master (PEM) in the Department of Youth Services and Sports, who also serves as a national referee and certified coach.
