DHARMAPUR — Himachal Pradesh police, in coordination with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), continued ‘Operation Hausal’ on Thursday to rescue people stranded in the Dharampur area following flash floods that damaged the bus stand, market, and surrounding houses, according to details received by The Chenab Times.

The floods struck on the night of September 15-16, prompting immediate relief and rescue operations by Mandi Police and SDRF, the Himachal Police stated on X. Two people remain missing, with coordinated efforts ongoing to locate them. “Our efforts continue so that no hope remains unfulfilled. Unfortunately, two people are still missing. The police are always committed to ensuring the safety and protection of every citizen’s life,” the police added.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired a high-level meeting to assess damage from torrential rains over the last 48 hours.
