The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is set to announce the results of Class 10th and Class 12th annual regular examinations for the 2025 session on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, bringing relief to lakhs of students across the Union Territory.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced the declaration date on January 13, 2026, urging students to remain calm, confident, and check results only through official channels to avoid misleading links.
Class 10th and Class 12th results for the October-November 2025 examinations will be released today, with the Class 10th outcome expected around 10:30 am and Class 12th around 2 pm, according to reports citing official indications. The examinations were conducted in the winter zone for Kashmir division and parts of Jammu division, with over 94,000 students registered for Class 10th and approximately 70,000 for Class 12th across various divisions, including Kashmir, Jammu winter zone, Kargil, and Leh.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, the decision to declare both results on the same day follows directives from the Education Minister to address the prolonged wait faced by students and parents. The process has been overseen by a Result Declaration Committee chaired by JKBOSE Secretary Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, amid the ongoing vacancy in the permanent Chairman post at JKBOSE for over a year. Special administrative arrangements ensured timely finalization despite the delay. The results cover annual regular exams held from November 3 to November 27 for Class 10th and November 8 to December 3 for Class 12th in the relevant zones.
Students can access their results on the official JKBOSE websites, including jkbose.nic.in, jkresults.nic.in, and jkbose.nic.in/results, by entering their roll number and other required details. Authorities have emphasized that marksheets will be distributed through schools, with separate notifications expected for re-evaluation, photocopies, or compartment examinations if needed. The board has also released datesheets for the upcoming 2026 annual examinations in Jammu division summer zone, with Class 10th exams scheduled from February 17 to March 10 and Class 12th from February 23 to March 28.
In a post on X on January 13, Education Minister Sakina Itoo extended her best wishes to all Class 10th and 12th students, stating: “Wishing the very best to all Class 10th and 12th students of J&K whose results will be declared tomorrow. May your hard work bring success and new opportunities. Stay calm and confident. Importantly, check results only on official website and do not click on any fake or misleading links.” This message aimed to promote caution amid potential cyber risks during high-traffic result periods.
The announcement has generated anticipation among students in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh divisions, where preparations for higher education or further studies depend heavily on these outcomes. Officials expect a formal press briefing from JKBOSE after the declarations to share pass percentages, performance trends, and other statistics. Students and parents are advised to rely solely on verified official portals to avoid fraudulent sites that may circulate during such announcements. The timely release reflects efforts to prioritize academic schedules in the region despite administrative challenges.
