Jammu and Kashmir CM Assures No Shortage of Fuel or LPG Amidst Supply Concerns
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has stated that there is no scarcity of essential commodities like diesel, petrol, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders across the Union Territory. He urged citizens to refrain from panic buying and assured them of uninterrupted supplies.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, Chief Minister Abdullah made these remarks to address growing public apprehension regarding potential shortages. The Chief Minister’s office also released a statement clarifying the availability of these vital resources.
The Union Territory administration has been actively monitoring the supply chain of petroleum products and LPG. Officials have confirmed that adequate stocks are maintained at depots and distribution points throughout Jammu and Kashmir. The government has emphasized its commitment to ensuring that essential services remain operational without disruption, especially for the convenience of the public.
The Chief Minister’s assurance comes at a time when localized disruptions or rumors of shortages can sometimes lead to hoarding and further exacerbate supply issues. The administration has reportedly put in place mechanisms to swiftly address any logistical challenges that may arise, ensuring timely replenishment of stocks.
Local authorities in various districts have been instructed to maintain vigilance and report any unusual patterns in demand or supply. The government is working in coordination with oil marketing companies and gas agencies to preemptively manage any potential bottlenecks. The focus remains on maintaining a steady flow of fuel for transportation and power generation, as well as LPG for domestic use.
The Chief Minister’s appeal for calm is aimed at preventing unnecessary panic, which can often be more detrimental than the actual supply situation. By providing clear and direct communication, the administration seeks to build public confidence and ensure that essential services continue to function smoothly for all residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
