An Independence Day celebration was organised by Assam Rifles at Government Middle School Dharara in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, with participation from students, school staff and security personnel. The programme featured patriotic activities aimed at fostering national pride, unity and community participation among young students.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, the event witnessed the participation of 54 students and staff members. The programme included a rendition of “Vande Mataram,” a Tiranga March and an interactive session highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the national song.
During the interaction, Assam Rifles personnel discussed the importance of national unity, responsible citizenship and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters during India’s struggle for independence. Students were also informed about the significance of the National Flag and the values associated with patriotism and service to the nation.
The Tiranga March formed a key part of the celebration, with participants carrying the national flag and expressing their commitment to the ideals of the country. The activity aimed to instil a sense of pride and respect for national symbols among the students.
School authorities and students actively participated in the programme, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event also provided an opportunity for young participants to learn about the historical importance of Independence Day and the contributions of those who fought for India’s freedom.
