A steamer being repaired at a juice factory in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir exploded, resulting in the death of one worker and injuring two others.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the incident occurred late Wednesday night in the Aglar area of Shopian.
The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh. The other two injured workers, Shiv Kumar and Raj Kumar, also from Uttar Pradesh, were immediately transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Tragically, one of the injured succumbed to his wounds while receiving treatment.
Preliminary investigations into the incident suggest the explosion happened while the workers were engaged in repair work on a steamer used in the juice production process. The exact cause of the malfunction that led to the blast is currently under examination by local authorities. The Shopian police have initiated an inquiry to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
