The Executive Engineer PMGSY THATHRI CHIRALA

Sub:-Use of Sub-Standared material(soft stone and improper ratio) on Chiralla Sunarthawa circular road in Frist and 2nd phase of METALLING.

It is very unfortunate and matter of great concern that contractor of PMGSY is using substandard material (soft stone )in frist phase of METALLING particularly at Bankanthawa where there is dire need of hard stone on slippery soil.

Many times public informed concern JE and AEE but unfortunately no spot verification/checking has been done by employees of PMGSY department.

Same complaints are of 2nd phase that has been started from Chiralla to puneja.

Screen shots of complaints are already send to AEE PMGSY.

It is our humble request to your good self kindly do spot checking of material of works going on Chiralla Sunarthawa circular road one by your good self then by JE on daily basis otherwise public has no option to complaint in higher ups and grievence cell of Honourable Lt Governor.

Regards

Public of Chiralla Sunarthawa.

Thathri cloudburst flood

Three years ago on intervening night of 20th and 21st July 2017, a horrific incident occurred in Main Bazaar Thathri which stills haunts the locals who were present there. It was around 2am of 21st July 2017, when cloud burst in the upper reaches of Thathri tehsil, it sounds like the earthquake in the beginning and in the meantime, whole residents of the town started running out of houses. Some people were shouting “Flood Aaya Hai Bazaar Sab Khatam Hogya”, “Bhaago Bahar Niklo” and “Kishtwar Pull Gir Gaya” and many much more rumours were spread across town. No one initially knows what happened, everyone was in fear, some lift the holy books Quran and ran away and gathering aside of national highway, some of them started repeatedly counting Tasbīḥ and remember God. Later, people got the information from others who went to the incident site. There was a flood in Tipri Nallah (stream) near National Academy School Thathri due to cloudburst which took six lives, and the school building were damaged and number of houses were destroyed.

The flood affected victims many times demanded construction of foot bridges so that no new tragedy happen again. The floods washed away bridges and footpaths in the area which have not been restored till today completely. Meanwhile, the stream was repaired and bordering walls were built but due to non availability of foot bridge, people have to step inside the stream for crossing it. Number of resolutions, requests were presented in front of administration but till date no footbridge constructed at the spot.

On 21 March 2020, a Municipal Committe officials of Thathri started clearance of debris damped in the stream which would cause blockage of the stream. Talking to the correspondent Anzer Ayoob on the same event, Municipal Chairman Mansoor Ahmed told that they have started the work and footbridge will be constructed soon. But till that the “soon” is not completed. The interview by Anzer Ayoob on this issue is still present on The Chenab Times.

Talking to State Observer correspondent, a floods affected victim Mohd Saleem said, “We are facing many difficulties after flash floods damaged our houses, footpaths and bridges. We requested the authorities to reconstruct the bridge many times as school children faced difficulties but nobody took cognizance.”

The residents urged the District as well as Lieutenant Governor administration to look into the matter.

Open letter to UT Administration

Bhalessa is nestling amongst broad mountainous and creased terrain, hard actuation broad where skies are the limits, most striking townships aforementioned Bhalessa, Bonjawah, Basnota, Chilly and Pingal are located in Doda District.

The inwardness attunes the skies resting divagation castes, ism and significance and above every religions, The Ruby Gems on mountainous slopes glows and glitters and pericarp of Thathri shine amidst dense, vibrant, tumultuous naif uplands.

The topography of the ocean is hilly and mountainous. There is Lack of Tourism Development authority as compared to another areas of the erstwhile Doda District.

It is the most backward which is stark from the baritone literacy rate, insecure agency conditions, slummy agency gain work, baritone per capita income, Non-existence of industries and demand of adequate agricultural inputs.

There is adequacy possibleness to kibosh backwards the individual in the ocean for at diminutive a fortnight. Imagine how much beatific it could do to the topical economy. Places of pilgrimages if promoted module hold designate the individual to these areas add patch the have is cosmos developed. Of late, The Tourism Developmen

Bhalessa presents comely picturesque as substantially as enthralling fields on artefact to Padri Top which could be promoted as a upbeat ingest as substantially as a holiday spot.

Places of pilgrimages if promoted will help bringing the tourist to these areas even while the infrastructure is being developed. Of late, The Tourism Development Authority required to be established firstly.

The following are the major areas which need a fleeting attention to boast the tourism potential of the state in general and this landscape in particular.

Bal Badri (Bhal Padri):
Bhalessa presents beautiful picturesque as well as attractive fields on way to Padri Top which could be promoted as a health resort as well as a picnic spot. It is on huge heights and one could find large snow field here even in the month of June. It is a valley made of small streams and white Nallahs flowing towards main valley of Bhalessa. This is also regarded as Nag Lotun. It is four kilometers away from Chamba Padri. Enough scope exists for Gandola rope ways. Bhadherwah to Kansar could be a good Gandola venture with Khanni Top, Padri Dhaar , Nagni MataTemple and Jaai Valley lying around Bhalessa.

Bach Dhar:
Located at the upper reaches of Jitota Balessa connecting Bhaderwah is a picturesque and looks scenic during summers.

Mehal Dhar:
Mehal Dhar is another picturesque valley of Bhalessa in Chilly area. The area is full of snowy mountains and is presenting a heart touching beauty to the tourists. In summer session, the Hindu pilgrims visit this place. Historically speaking, in ancient times, the valley was named after Prince Mehal Nag who lived here. He was Raja of Bhalessa.

The other places located in Chilly, Jakyas, Dhosa, Jitota, Kither, Bonjwah, Malano, chiralla also need to be identified for tourist hutments. Since a saparate tourism development authority is a long pending demand of the people if the area keeping in view the geographical proximity of the five tehsils of Gandoh, Chilly Pingal, Kahara, Bonjwah and Thathri. The identification of two places for tourist hutments is a holistic step but the question remain as the areas which need such hutaments are still unexplored and unexhibited. The cry of hour is to develop the tourism sites in above areas to achieve the slogen of Tourism prmotion. An order pertaining to the creation of saparate tourism authority is urgebtly solicited from union territory administration.
