BMO asks for registration of FIRs, seeks help to trace absconders
Authorities concerned are clueless about whereabouts of two Covid-positive patients, who according to them, have fled from as many Covid-centres established in Mendhar.
In a communiqué to Station House Officer (SHO) the Block Medical Officer Mendhar has informed the former that two persons (identities withheld) under treatment at Covid-19 Health centre new emergency block Mendhar and Covid Care Centre Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar have fled – the care centres – and that their whereabouts still remain unknown.
The Medical Officer has requested that an FIR be registered under Disaster Management Act under relevant sections against the duo and that the absconders be traced as soon as possible to stop further spread of the pandemic in the community.
The Medical Officer has in the meantime also requested that deployment of sufficient police personnel at both the centres as had been already sought vide Letter No.: BMO/MDR/314-19 dated 11-05-2021, to avoid such incidents in future.
