On Wednesday, a 52-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a scuffle over the erection of a tent near Vewan village in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
According to the Kashmir News Observer, three people were injured during a scuffle with locals over the erection of a tent at Kachi Behak, including a female from the Bakerwal community from Rajouri.
According to him, the injured were taken to Bandipora District Hospital for treatment after the incident.
“However, one of the injured, Mohammad Iqbal Kalas from Anderwat Rajouri, son of Mohammad Ali, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital,” the official said, adding that his body was lying in the hospital.
The injured were identified as Ranja Pokda (70), son of Methu Pokda, and Rohi Akther, daughter of Showket Kathana, both of Anderwat Rajouri.
Meanwhile, police have taken notice of the situation and have opened an investigation.
