BDC chairpersons, DDC members, President & members of MC Thathri, and 45 other deputations were all in attendance.
Vikas Sharma, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, today visited Sub Division Thathri and met with BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, President and Councillors of MC Thathri, representatives of various political parties, social activists, civil society members, religious heads, and members of the general public.
Along with SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar, he reviewed all of the line departments in Subdivision Thathri.
Various issues/works pertaining to various departments such as PWD, PHE, PDD, Degree College, tourism, traffic congestion in the town, and so on were discussed in depth during the meetings. He listened patiently to all of the issues and assured that the administration would be dedicated to resolving all genuine issues raised as a matter of priority.
In the case of the degree college, the DDC directed the concerned committee to resolve the matter in a positive manner within a week.
He directed the concerned to submit a DPR for the construction of a 3 km (approximately) road from Amrit Garh to Jantroon Dhar, so that the well-known Jantroon Dhar meadows could be added to the tourism map.
On the issue of the PDD, PHE, and R&B Sub divisions, which are run from Kishtwar District and are the Sub division’s main administrative headache, the DDC directed the SDM to submit a proposal in this regard so that it could be brought to the attention of higher authorities.
DDC also relieved AEE Jal Shakti of additional Dachhan area responsibilities, and Xen Jal Shakti was asked to delegate his Kishtwar area responsibilities to another AEE.
He also ordered the suspension of an engineer for being absent from work without authorization, and he warned public officials to be punctual in their legitimate responsibilities.
He urged the public to follow all SOPs and observe Covid-19 Appropriate Behavior because the pandemic is still ongoing and requires collective efforts to combat and defeat this deadly virus.
