Garbage near bus stand stinks, passengers fume

Locals of Mendhar town are up in arms against the Rural Development Department (RDD) authorities Mendhar for dumping solid and non-biodegradable waste in the open, risking lives of the people.

They said that commuters waiting at the Mendhar bus stand, are suffering from foul smell of the garbage dumped beside the bus stand. The garbage has become a serious concern for the commuters over.

As the bus stand is filled with garbage everywhere and it is impossible for passengers to board buses from here. Even after many complaints given to the authorities concerned to remove the trash from here but no action is taken yet.
