Kashmir: Youth Goes Missing In Bijbehera, Family Lodge Report with Police

A family from Bijbehera in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district registered a missing report with police on Monday, alleging that their 23-year-old son has been missing since August 6, officials said.

“Today, one Abdul Hamid Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Veeri Biibehara, reported to police station Bijbhera with a written application stating that his son, Rayees Ahmad Bhat, age 23/24 years, qualification BA, has been missing since August 6, 2021,” a police officer told Kashmir-based news agency GNS.

Rayees is described as a “shopkeeper/media person” in the missing report. The official stated, “Further verification regarding the situation is ongoing.”
