One suspect was caught during a joint search operation by police and the Indian Army in the Kirni area of Poonch, namely Jahangir Ali, son of Wali Mohd, a resident of Kirni Poonch.
“During search of his personal bag, 02 pistols, 04 Chinese grenades, 100 pistol rounds, and 04 pistol magazines were seized from his possession,” according to an official statement to Chenab Times.
It was discovered throughout the investigation that the accused intended to send it over to Basharat Khan of Surankote and Sheraz of Sangla Surankote.
These two individuals were also apprehended in separate locations.
“During the investigation, it was discovered that the trio are associates of the proscribed group JKGF (Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force) and were given the responsibility of carrying out terrorist actions in J&K, particularly in District Poonch,” the statement continues.
In this regard, FIR No.227/2021 was filed under the relevant parts of the law, and an inquiry was launched.
