J&K Police carries out searches at houses of four journalists in Kashmir

Officials said the Jammu and Kashmir Police searched the homes of four journalists here on Wednesday.

They stated raids were carried out at the homes of the editor-in-chief of a weekly magazine, a reporter for a Turkish media outlet, a freelance reporter, and a reporter who has worked for a number of local newspapers.

While police have been tight-lipped about the searches, it is thought that they were part of a probe into a blog post that incites people against the government and aims to discredit nationalists in Kashmir, according to official sources.
