‘Garlic is adrak’: Pakistan Minister Fawad Chaudhry goof-up leaves Internet in splits

In a clip shared on Twitter, Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry, who was talking about the decrease in the price of onion and garlic during his press address confused the latter for ginger.

The video has gone insanely viral on social media.

During the press conference, Fawad Chaudhry said, “Garlic is adrak (ginger).” The video from the press conference has gone viral on social media. The clip was also shared by Pakistani Journalist Naila Inayat.

Fawad Chaudhry, during the press conference, was talking about the decrease in garlic and onion price. However, he found it a bit difficult to translate garlic into Hindi. Despite people around him prompting that garlic is lehsun in Hindi, the Pakistani Minister said, “Garlic is adrak.”

“Garlic is adrak,” Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry. One learns a new thing every day (sic),” Naila Inayat said in the caption of her post.
